What Happened to Dynamics 365 Guides?

In October 2025, Microsoft announced that Dynamics 365 Guides and Remote Assist reach end of support on December 31, 2026. New subscriptions were stopped immediately.

This followed HoloLens 2 production ending in October 2024 and the official cancellation of HoloLens 3 in February 2025. Microsoft has completely exited the AR hardware market.

After December 31, 2026: no security updates, no bug fixes, no technical support, no SLA. Microsoft's guidance: “explore mixed reality solutions on the Microsoft Marketplace.”
